Is it right for a guy to disrespect by yelling at he's girl in public no matter the reason?

It seems like my cousins husband always yells at her in public. It gets me angry because when there at home and they disagree on something he don't want to talk about it but if theyre in public he's quick on yelling at her and disrespect her.

My SO and I don't fight in public, I was raised that there is a time and place and it's not out in front of other ppl. We don't yell at each other hardly ever but if he yelled at me in public I would be humiliated and hurt and it'd be a serious issue.

My ex got angry and yelled at me in public too, at the top of his lungs, that's why he's my ex. That's very disrespectful.

I made the mistake ONE time of accidentally letting a harsh comment lead to an argument in front of his mom. It was at home...but in front of his mother. 
That is a no no. It embarrassed me and ashamed him. 
We like our personal business to actually stay personal.
