Can I still be pregnant?

So I had sex about 2 days before my period started. But I've also heard that it takes a few days to a week for your body to actually be fertilized after you've had sex. Does this mean I could still be pregnant even if I've had my period?

Yes. Chances are incredibly low though, semen can live up to 5-7 days in your body depending on the environment. If you had sex 2 days before your period and if you have a 4-5 days long period, I'd say you're okay, especially if your cycle is a normal one (around 28 days) because then your fertile window would be in the middle of your cycle. If you have a short cycle, then you would have your fertile window right after your period. I believe you are okay, but taking a test just to make sure wouldn't hurt
