All of them are fake to an extent. I know someone who was on a reality show and he talked about how they would have conversations off camera and then they would have those people basically repeat their conversations to capture them.  They would feed them information or edit the film to make it seem like what it's not.

All "reality" shows are fake to an extent.

Just watch teen mom og, they basically show you what they do.

They give them cues, tell them what to talk about, what questions to ask etc.

Also back when The Hills ended  Lauren Conrad gave an interview basically stating how fake everything was and how the producers would make them reenact and drama the missed on days they weren't filming.
