I support the soldiers, but that doesn't necessarily mean I support or agree with the military's decisions on a lot of things.

There's a big difference between supporting the military as an organization, and supporting individual soldiers.

Anyone who doesn't respect our country's soldiers needs to go live somewhere else don't disrespect those who fought for you to live your privileged life I'm not saying support wars because I certainly don't but support the soldiers for if they weren't there you wouldn't be either life would be a whole lot different

I have mixed feelings about the military. I am Native American and feel the military is a representation of the country who have performed genocide without any consequence to the native peoples of this very country. Many reservations are the equivalent to third world countries. Slavery of their children did not end until the 1980s. My grandmother and mother were children slaves, so yes, that has had an affect on how I raised and view things.

As for the military its self, I think its a joke that military families make so little money that they can get welfare and foodstamps. Women can be dishonorably discharged as the result of being raped and the number of homeless vets I see everyday is fucked up.

Yep I support my family, but If you got dishonorable discharge you don't deserve any respect. If you become a traitor or turn on your country and family you deserve to be shot on site.

A woman was recently murdered and raped. I can't support that. There are Japanese citizens who are protesting to have the U.S bases in Okinawa removed. It has had a serious impact on how the citizens feel about the U.S. Military presence. I don't blame them. I actually have told them I agree. This isn't the first time something like this happened. Also some of the military men get drunk and start crap with the citizens.

Um.....sortof? Like in general, yes, but holy crap is there some screwed up stuff going in in there. You know how much female soldiers (AND males) get sexually harrassed/assaulted?

Hell, just a couple years ago, the guy who was in charge of the damn sexual harrassment shit got court marshalled for being the head of a damn prostitution ring.

HIS SOLE JOB WAS TO PROTECT SOLDIERS FROM OTHER SOLDIERS. HEAD OF THE PROSTITUTION RING.

I respect some soldiers. To me, there are about two kinds. I don't agree with how the military handles itself and its inner workings , or when soldiers retire. It's like a big middle finger to them after they get out.
