My dad hates the USA.

I live in London, U.K. and I have Uncle who is a retired priest on my mums side that lives in Biloxi, Mississippi. He is very elderly and has no family there so my mum wants to go there as a family but my dad is refusing because he is Muslim (and he looks North African / Arab) and feels like he wouldn't be able to go without racism in this sort of deep-south area coming along.

Every time I have ever been in an airport with my family, the staff stopped us due to our last name (which is Arab/North African), twice I have missed a flight due to the airport staff checking out things for 'Terrorist'-related things.

Also my mum had been to Biloxi recently and she said that it's still kinda segregated (sooo different from London which is very diverse).

So what I'm asking is if anyone lives in a town in Southern America and if you think that having my dad there will be problematic.
