Has anyone heard of women getting pregnant on the pill from having condomless sex then missing a future pill? I know girls get pregnant from having sex at the same time as missing pills but I also heard that you can get pregnant for example if you have condomless sex on a Tuesday and miss a pill or two on Wednesday and Thursday because sperm lives inside you for 7 days?

Answer

Sperm can live inside you for up to five days, and if you take a combined progestin/estrogen pill, it's recommended that you use another form of contraception if you miss two pills in a row for the next 7 days.

I've heard some say that it takes three days for birth control hormones to get out of your system, so if you have condomless sex and then immediately miss two or more pills, it would be possible to become pregnant.

Remember that birth control pills work off of the ones you've taken before, so missing some can throw your hormones out of whack.
