Anyone ever took Phlebotomy??

Question

Tryin to decide if I want to take phlebotomy classes while pregnant. I'd be 31 weeks by the end of the semester! Anyone ever taken it before? Is it hard? Is the terminology hard to learn??

I know three people who have, however none ever actually did it as a job. From what I'm told it's extremely hard to get hired without experience and when no one will hire you it's impossible to get experience. It was a waste of money for them.

I've taken this class and it wasn't hard. You just have to study when it comes to terminology. How long is the class that you plan on taking? Being that you have 9 more weeks to go.

I would ask the school first and your doctor. My husband works at a blood donor center in the army and all the civilian phlebotomist said they had to practice sticking each other all the time. I just finished nursing school and I had to have a note from my doctor saying I was allowed to be in school while pregnant. I know they are different, but I would still ask. I don't think the terminology would be that hard. Good luck!!!

I havent myself but my cousin said you practice taking blood on each other in the class, so I'm wondering if you can while pregnant!
