Needing help!!😢

So my fiancé and I have been trying for a month TTC #1 and we used Preseed all last month and today I started my AF... 😢😢😢 I have irregular periods... I'm wanting to use Preseed again after this period and maybe start some fertility pills! I'm needing some advise what kind I should use? What works the best for ladies who have irregular periods? Sometimes I don't know when I ovulate also... So what kind of ovulation tests work the best? Needing some answers!! I really don't want to be disappointed next month!!
