Sexx?

Been with my bf for 1 month, yes I know it might be to early to have sex, I onced had a bad experience & ever since then I don't have sex unless there is something serious and proof of negative test results. I already had the talk with my bf about him getting checked and he agreed he will, there's been times when I just can't control myself but then I react and I stop & remind him about the test first yesterday I went completely blind and didnt care anymore but he had no condoms and well we didnt do it, he told me since I been saying no until you et tested he didnt mind buying any condoms but then he told me not like we would have sex right after I get the results I dont know if its good or bad but sometimes I just want to have sex but don't want to rush it either. Any advice?
