I need help!

Okay so I know this is weird and personal but i need advice. My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years now (I'm so happy! :)) anyways, he has been wanting to try anal sex for a while now and secretly I kinda do also but I'm scared of how it will feel and if it'll hurt, the sound of it does not sound appealing but I feel I should try for him. Any advice or concerns or anything I should know or do before hand? Tia
