Being IN Love vs. Loving Someone

Hey ladies. I am 19, and ever since I started dating my SO I have been questioning what the difference between being IN love and loving someone is. Like, I love him, but am I IN love with him? Is there a difference? How do I know? Mind you he is my first boyfriend and longest relationship. I, too, am his longest relationship as well. So most of everything we have gone through regarding our feelings for one another and other problems throughout our relationship were all kind of new to us but we got through them. We have been dating for 2 1/2 years now, but don't get me wrong. My feelings for him have not changed or anything like that (and vice versa), but sometimes I can't help but wonder if what I feel for him is really love, or if I'm just IN love with him, or both! If there is a difference. I have done the research so I have a pretty good idea on what society overall believes the difference is, but I would just like to know what other normal women thought about the topic. Thanks in advance for commenting your opinions and thoughts. 😊
