LDR advice

Okay, so I'm in an LD relationship and I think im being catfished. Honestly I don't give a shit if I am. I love him and the way he treats me. He could be a 300 pound man and I wouldn't care because hes a complete sweetheart. (I may be exaggerating just a bit) but basically I have 250 pictures of him. They're all the same. I have faith in him. I've always wanted to go to Alabama anyways (because of the historical aspect. I just think it's an interesting place). So I'm thinking of planning a road trip and giving him the opportunity to meet while I'm there. I have about 3 weeks until I can get my license. And I'm looking for a new job so that I can save up to go, but can I get opinions on if you all think this is a good idea? We're nine hours away..
