I'm just wondering the average. The bargain hunter in me wants to spend $500 tops but then I hear my mom in the back of my mind "Reese, Reese, it's not about the money, think of how long you'll treasure it!" Will I regret not spending more? I literally told my SO that I would be ecstatic if I just got a small inexpensive ring and a jeep to match 😝😎

If it wasn't clear, my SO and I aren't super traditional. We've shared finances for years and are just going to elope in Hawaii, but the ring will be purchased out of a shared account.

Mine was $7100. We were a little older when we got engaged (26 and 29) and he didn't finance it or anything.. Just paid the cash for it. If he put it on credit I would've been a little upset because thats not worth it to me. Since we both have careers in sales it was fine. I am excited to pass it along to my grandkids someday :)

Mine was $6000 and the weddi right was $500. My husband bought it with his money. That's how much he wanted to spend and I will cherish them forever. Spend however much you will feel comfortable spending. I would have loved a much cheaper ring because the important part is what it symbolizes.

Mine was about $5000 and I'm normally not a splurgey person but I had been in love with it for years and I couldn't imagine having anything else, so I'm happy my husband didn't care how much my dream ring cost

I think your ring can be any price and be loved. If you aren't a splurger, then don't. Personally, I hid my ring for a while because I thought it was too big. I'm adjusted now and I love. I just think my dear husband went overboard given our age. But it was within our means which is what matters.

Mine was 1300.. We had just had our daughter and our relationship was about to end I went through bad post partum depression. He was not understanding and we grew so far apart.. Then one day he gets me from work and takes me to get a ring I didn't even want one but he picked it and well we r still together.
