Trying not to stress

But I called housing authority to get put on section 8 list yes I know it's a big waiting period .. But is section 8 have a different list from low in come waiting list ? Because I only signed up for section 8 I'm confused 🙄I'm having so much trouble trying to find a place for me and my family I don't even know how to start to even search for a place plus I have zero credit every place me and my BF applied to we never got call backs so I don't even know what to do it stresses me out so much yes I have the help of my family but me and my BF want our own place already so we can raise our baby together as a family 😭😭 if any ladies have any advice on what to do please can u tell me I would love that thanks
