How do you know if your water broke??

Morning,

I just got out of the tub and dried myself off and as I was drying off a tinkle came down. It was warm clear and didn't have a smell of urine. I cleaned off again and it happened again. How do I know if my water broke??Please help??

My midwife said you can check of it's your water by lying down for 20-30 minutes and then seeing what happens when you stand back up. If its your water it will pool slightly while you are lying down and you will get a bit of a gush when you stand up.

They broke mine with all of them during labor. And there was no questioning. It came out in gushes every contraction.

Mine broke and started leaking during labor- it was slow trickle and I couldn't control it. It had no odor.

I had my water broken in the hospital, so im not sure how it feels when it breaka on its own but it wasn't a trickle when they broke it...it was a gush that never seemed to end.

Theres no odour off your waters,maybe a slight sweet almond smell and it should be clear

Apparently there's a strong, distinct smell from your waters. Maybe wear a pad and if in an hour it's soaked through call your doctor at L&D 😊

I too felt a pop then non stop gushing, had a shower, got dressed, sat on a towel in the car & had one between my legs too, shorts were soaked through by the time I got to the hospital & delivery room about 15 mins later

I heard a pop then a little came out. I seriously thought I peed. A few min later more came out. Then within minutes I had awful contractions.

When my water broke it was none stop leaking fluid until I gave birth . Put a pad in and see if it continues ? I had no pain or anything when my water first broke so it very well could be that

I felt a definite pop and then a gush did not end. I would put a pad in your underwear if it's wet it a half hour call your doctor.
