Do you ladies know if getting your nails done can cause any harm to baby I know the smell can be strong. I'm 26 weeks what do you guys think it's it safe?

Regular Mani/pedi yes, fake nails I'm not sure, maybe wear a mask, the technicians at my place wear them for the fake nails due to fumes.

My guess would be no and this is why. Stanford did a study where they had women put nail polish on and then come back 24 hours later and give a urine sample. They were checking for a specific chemical in the urine called HPTP. It is an endocrine disruptor. The level was 60 times higher in their urine compared to that of an average person. That chemical also bioaccumulates in your breast milk.

It's not harmful to the baby. Just make sure the salon you go to is well ventilated. The fumes from the chemicals are what could be harmful.
