Divorce over a tattoo?

I've never been into tattoos but in january i had a miscarriage and ever since I've been considering getting a tattoo in memory of my baby. I told my husband about it and he got mad. He said he doesnt like girls with tattoos and that if i got a tattoo he would get a divorce.

That is ridiculous. You should be able to do what you want with your body. He should love you with no tattoos or tattoos.

I would not be okay with him just tossing around the idea of divorce like that. Divorce is serious and shouldn't be a threat or a joke.

If he will divorce you over something so petty, I would ask him if he every really loved and wanted to be with you to begin with. My hubby does not like tattoos but I do. If I do chose to get another and he would say something like that to me I'd show him the door. To threaten divorce or to leave in general is abuse. I'd get marriage counseling asap.

Holy crap! Is there something else going on with him? More behind his threat than just simply not liking tattoos? Maybe it's not a way he finds respectful of honoring the baby? That's intense. Not something worth destroying a marriage over.

I'd let him get a divorce. I'm sorry but if someone loves you they love YOU. No matter what. I would never threaten divorce over something so petty. Plus who cares if he likes girls with tattoos. He isn't married to girls who is married to you.

Best tattoo I have. I lost my baby at 15 weeks a few years back with my ex husband (he was abusive). My current SO loves my tattoo and doesn't judge it even though it wasn't his child. Hopefully your husband is just overreacting because divorce over a tattoo sounds terrible😡

Well since the fact that you're already married it might be a little over-dramatic but I definitely understand people not wanting to be with people with tattoos because it's personally not to their taste. As a married couple you both have to take each other's feelings into account.

When my wife and i met 10 years ago i explaned to her my extream dislike for tattoos,she was fine with it. 5 years ago we got married had a beautiful daughter and this year she started forcing the whole sleave tattoo thing on me and again i said i did not find them attractive . she then would show me pintrest pictures of half naked calender girls with tattoos and want my opion and again i would say she would be pretty without the tattoos but otherwise not attractive. So long story short she now has 2 large tattoos on her arm wants a full sleeve and i get sick looking at her and try as i might cant make love to her. I love this girl more than words can express and its killing me . she thinks i hate her which i do not . i would do anything not to feel like this but it has affected me in ways i cant explain . she is the love of my life and i cant even tuch her without wanting to vomit. Most of my family has tats and they have no affect on me ,my cousen was the artist and does beautiful work ,and no its not a control thing .
