Dying hair?

I'm 3 months pregnant and I'm still dyin my hair but I've stopped bleaching it and staying away from any products with peroxide in it. 
What is everyone's oppinons on dying hair? 
My dyed her hair all the way through all her pregnancies and even bleached her hair regularly when carrying me. I've been told not to dye my hair at all while pregnant but I can't go 9 months with not colouring it... The roots would drive me crazy especially with my hair being so short at the minute!

I've dyed my hair every 8 weeks throughout my pregnancy. They use foil so none touches my scalp and the smell is not bad at all (it is not bleach).

I got my hair dyed at 10 weeks, I found the fumes were really strong when first applied, but my sense of smell has increased so much, I can't even stand the smell of my body lotion or sunscreen. But as soon as my hairstylist was done applying it was fine. I was freaking out a little bit at first, but I went for it. I have never found any factual information on why to avoid dyes. Some one may be able to educate me a little more than what I am, but I googled for a while. The only thing I read is that the fumes can be harsh, and I found they were strong, maybe try and dye your hair outside if you are doing it at home.

Yeah, I actually heard it's safer to bleach hair than to dye because it doesn't touch your scalp. Always make sure you're not breathing all that in and make sure you're in. Ventilated area with even a fan maybe.

My OB told me it was fine. She suggested not dying hair during 1st trimester but said it was fine after that. She also suggested not bleaching hair.

I've been keeping my 8 week appointments. I've been sticking to high or lowlights though because then the dye doesn't touch your scalp. Salons are ventilated and it's totally fine. You can also tell your stylist if you are super nervous and there are some dyes made safer you could use. But I'm 22 weeks no issues and I've had my hair done twice so far.
