Does anyone know if this is a frog or toad and if he's poisonous. If he could I keep him as a pet? He's really cute and hasn't jumped from me so I want to keep him but I don't know how to take care of a frog I've never had one as a pet so I need help:p

You're asking if it's  poisonous but you're holding it in your hand lol, in the future if you don't know if "anything" is poisonous don't touch it or pick it up, because just by touching a frog that is poisonous could be really bad for you, it's not just by venom, bites etc that animal/reptiles/amphibians are poisonous, it's just by touch. This one isn't poisonous, but I don't think you should keep it as a pet, it had a better chance of surviving and being happier not in a glass cage, what if the frog picked you up and kept you in a cage not knowing you had a family or was trying to get home to feed your children?? Lol sorry my over analyzing about taking creatures from the wild. Go to the pet store if you really want a frog... They are bred in captivity ..the glass is their family.. (In a sense) versus a wild creature.

If you found it near water, it's a frog, if not, it's a toad. I get wanting to keep it, but release back into the wild is the best option.

Frogs aren't super easy to care for. They need artificial heat, clean water, land and food, fresh food. Its not a dog or a cat. Your chances of killing it are high, mostly because you are new to owning a frog. The aquarium size matters, they need to be cleaned regularly. Its probably best to just let it go.

I think it's a frog. Toads usually have bumpy skin, frogs are more smooth. Idk what they eat or how to take care of one, but you could google. Lots of kids take care of them as pets so I don't think it could be too difficult. Plus then he won't get eaten by a bird or something.
