Why does the glow community do this?

Why do women post their pregnancy test with the wedding or engagement ring sitting on top of it? Just curious.

It helps the camera focus on the barely visible line. And the wedding ring is usually the most handy object

They say it's to focus the camera... But think about it. Everyone on this app is on a smartphone. Smartphones don't need anything to help focus. If it's not focusing all you have to do is move the camera closer or further. I kinda think it's just to show off.

I see no real difference. If anything it focuses better without. It's silly to say it's so the camera has something to focus on, the camera has the test to focus on!

I use it to focus on the test strip better. I have an iPhone 6plus but with the lighting in our bathroom, it does actually make a difference. Some people use hair ties or bobby pins... I just use my ring because it's usually the closest/easiest thing to grab.
