Pregnancy Discrimination

I'm a counselor at a high school. I've worked with my students since they entered HS. They will be graduating in May. My principal (who is a female) wants to reassign me to a new grade because she heard I am pregnant and doesn't want to have a mess on her hands. I will only miss 8 weeks of school due to maternity leave. I've worked with those students and their families, and have worked tirelessly for 3 years with them. It's awful that she sees my pregnancy as a hindrance to my students. I really think she sees it as a problem for her, because she has no idea what she's doing. pregnancy Discrimination sucks. Of course I will pursue it, but it's a shame that we can do so many wonderful things as women, but people still face disgust and rejection because of pregnancy.
