What form of pain management did you use while giving birth?

I went natural. To get the through the pain hubby rubbed my back. ( I had all the back labor) I slept some in between contractions. I walked around. I labored on my hands and knees. Did lots of breathing and tried to let my body do its thing. So all the trying to relax.....

Epidural. Will do it again next time I get pregnant. I don't understand why I would go through so much pain if I can relieve it, but I'm just a chicken :))) women who went all natural are heroes in my eyes :)

First birth I had an epidural, second natural with shower to help with the pain, with this pregnancy I am doing a water birth. I'm excited 😍😍😍

Technically, I've had 3 deliveries and will have my 4th in 6 weeks or less.

2 epidural labors were 6.5hrs and 6 hrs. No big deal with pain. Pushing was hard because I couldn't feel the need to push or how to push. I pushed over an hour with my 1st, and 45 minutes with my 2nd.

My 3rd delivery was 1hr and 40 minutes from first contraction to delivery of baby. No epidural and only pushed twice. Easiest labor and delivery for me. The pain wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I breathed through each contraction and swore at my husband when no one was around.

I've already spoken with my doctor about going natural again. He's just worried I won't make it to the hospital this time, so we're doing vag checks starting at 36 weeks so there aren't any surprises.

Go luck! You'll do great any way you choose to labor. These are different stories. But, you do what's best for you!

I got an epidural, but that in itself was scary because I have a crooked spine (scoliosis) and they had to inject that large hollow needle in my spine about 6 times 😖 but it worked! I didn't feel a damn thing, and luckily I didn't because I had to get an episiotomy and stitches 😒 Woman who do it all natural are the real MVPs! 👑 I have nothing but the highest level of respect for them! I'm just such a chicken 🙈

I was induced with the balloon first, got me to 4 cm, then pitocin until I had regular contractions, water broke naturally and delivered without pain medication. Used relaxation/breathing techniques actually fell aslee between contractions. Used a TENS unit while in active labor and a lot of position changes, was in active labor for 3 hrs and pushed for only 10 minutes.

Failed epidural. Was in labor for 48hrs and active labor for 13.5hrs. Pushed for a total of 4.5 hrs with me pushing 3.5 hrs straight out of those 4.5 hrs. My labor was cervadil/cytotek/pitocin induced.
