Okay, so on Tuesday, I went to my Obgyn for the first time ever (day after my 19th birthday. I came in knowing I was going to get a pap, pelvic and a piss test for pregnancy. And I also did my research and really wanted to get the Paraguard IUD because I'm a very health-conscious person and fear the synthetic hormones. Oh, and Im in a relationship that got serious very fast, and im going off to college in a month so it seemed like the most convienent option. I went in a little nervous because I was raped when i was 17 and never got tested or told my family. The process was very easy and relatively painless. I also ended up getting the Skyla instead (doc recommended because my cycle is only about 21 days long and the copper would have made it shorter). So we'll see. Tests came back negative thank god! No babies for three years AND no STI's or STD's I gotta explain to anyone about or take care of!

Anyone have any opinions of the Skyla and what to expect??
