Wth.... Really?

Question

So u work with a bunch of women. One who is pregnant and calls in every Friday cause "her back hurts". Maybe it does but it's really convenient that it's every Friday... But anyways, I had Friday off because I was out of town and she called in again. I posted on Facebook I was enjoying my day out of town and a coworker commented that work sucked without me and that the girl called in again. I replied "wow, I figured she would". This girl who called in, stalked my page, saw that and screen shotted it and messages me saying she's turning this into HR. Lol. Like really? Can I seriously get in trouble for this? Keep in mind I deal with this drama from her every day. I'm not worried but wanted opinions...

I don't believe you'll get in trouble. You didn't say anything about her specifically, just voiced that you weren't surprised she'd called in. If anything they may call you in to talk about it, but they'll probably look at her and laugh. Then look at the previous weeks and notice she's called out consistently every Friday and start questioning that...she'll dig her own hole instead of putting you in one.

She got her feelings hurt because you two knew what she was up to. She knows what she's doing is wrong based on her taking screenshots and reporting you to HR. I'd just let HR handle her and the drama she's trying to bring. I wouldn't worry.

Your more likely to get in trouble for discussing work issues on a public page as most work places policies usually say that issues with other staff should be discussed in private with senior staff, not because of what you said just where.

Well.. This kind of happend at my job expect the girl lied and said she put it on social media when she really didn't. 
The girl who lied got fired. 
So there's a chance u can. 
If u read the employees handbook it says not to post things about eachother it's harassment. Then again it's how your job works. 
Ours is strict on that so we had that meeting. HR yelled at all of us, next day girl got fired.

I can understand her point of view on a speculative public conversation about her professional life. You don't know what she may be suffering from, what arrangements she may have come to, perhaps she's having a risky pregnancy and working flexibly, she might have a medical certificate etc - if there's concern her manager will have raised it with her, but you're not privy by to private conversations of that nature, precisely because it's none of your business. If discussing it on social media is acceptable though, you'll have no reason to worry about HR repercussions.

I think she's digging her own grave... At this point I'm surprised that HR hasn't already been on looking into it! Calling in every Friday and only Friday is sketchy AF. Where I work there's no way in hell that 1) my managment would let that slide and 2) HR would have been all over my ass about that already. 
She's obviously abusing her pregnancy! I'm going to be 34 weeks tomorrow and I'm a teacher who works through summer so I'm in my feet all day! What she's doing really pisses me off and I hope she's gets reprimanded at the very least!

Haha I wouldn't be bothered by it. Hr can just look at her work record and see that she does. It's not like your saying anything bad. Your stating a fact. I would've replied to her that you simply said what was true and if she doesn't like it to stay off your page or you can make easy and block her.
