Paragard and Nickle allergy??

My mom has severe nickle allergy. I mean, she can't even wash dishes in certain sinks without getting blisters all over the palms of her hands, it's horrific.

I'm not good on hormones so I'm getting the Paragard tomorrow. I don't know how my body will react to it. I talked to my doctor and she made some rude comment looking at my Pandora bracelet "well I see the jewlery you're wearing, you don't have a nickle alergy." How do I really know if I do or don't have a metal allergy? I mean, if I use fake earings my ears itch and the rings of the holes turn green but that's about it. I think thats normal, right? Any thoughts?
