Talking

So I'm starting school the 10th and wanted to know what's the best thing not to be nervous because I'm going to a new school. Can I have tips ? I mean when I talk I have a British accent and I hate when people point it out. I mean I'm from Va, and raise in Florida, ( that has nothing to do with school lol) I mean I know people are rude here and I try not to be rude to others when they ask stupid ass questions, can someone tell me how to not be rude ?
