Horrible upper abdominal pain

I've been having the worst upper abdominal pain for a few hours now. It's pretty constant and is sharp. I do feel tightening in my belly but I've been having that for weeks now (BH). I'm 37w5d and a FTM. I'm assuming this is bowel pain but it's excruciating. I can't find a comfortable position and I'm not able to go to the bathroom. I'm on the fence about going to l&d. Could this be labor? Anyone else experience this?
