Do you have trouble swallowing prenatal vitamins ?

It seems that I can't swallow my vitamins and when I do I end up throwing up. I eat before so it doesn't upset my stomach and it worked for a while. However now I keep throwing up afterwards idk what I should do.

Switch your prenatal. There are so many options out there. I switch to a plant based one that is so much better than the one I first started with. There are also flavored packets of prenatals you can just add to a glass of water if a pill isn't for you.

I take a gel coated prenatal. Before I was even pregnant it was hard to take some of them because they taste nasty. And then you look at the recommended dosage and they say 3 pills! I take naturemade. It's big, but you only take one and it goes right down.

I have to take mine with a big gulp of milk, water or juice. I try to relax and let the liquid wash it down quickly so I don't even feel it.

Try taking your prenatal at night, or maybe you need to switch brands for a bit. The gummy ones are fine for the first trimester, you don't need the iron as much until you get towards the second trimester. You could also try taking the pill with a spoonful of applesauce or pudding. Sometimes easier than water.

I always take my vitamin with root beer or sparkling water. The carbonation helps not feel the pill go down.

I take gummy ones. They have no iron in them but I get enough in my diet and my levels are always good. So if you go the gummy route and don't get enough in your diet, you may want to get a  iron pill.
