Did your insurance pay for your infertility office visits?

Mea
So I went to my doctor last week to go over my blood tests and was diagnosed with primary infertility because of low progesterone and they think I'm not ovulating, and prescribed clomid for 6 months and I have to go back to visit every month for an office visit to get my prescription. Well my doctors office filed this last visit as an infertility consultation so my insurance denied it because they don't cover infertility! So now I'm getting stuck with the bill of $255! I don't think I can even continue going now unless I can work something out with my doctor because $255 +20 for the prescription, so $275 a month just to take clomid, and time off work to go to the doctor, I can't afford that especially since this will hopefully result in a baby who that money should be going to! I'm  not even going to a fertility specialist it's my OB!
Did your insurance pay for your infertility visits at your OB? Or did you have to pay?
Thanks ladies I'm so frustrated and upset right now.
