Hydrocortisone Acetate Suppositories???🤔

Can anyone..... anybody please help me find out any information on Hydrocortisone Acetate Suppositories 25mg? 🤔

I am freaking out! I took one hoping is would help my hemorrhoid flare up..... shortly after i read in the suppositories information pamphlet its under PREGNANCY CATEGORY C!😔

Im trying to research information on did I put my unborn child at risk! I'll call my doctor in the morning! Until then please help me so I can at least get some sleep tonight! 😢

I'm not exactly sure what the specific risk is ulcer the baby but I had a horrid hemmy about a month and a half ago. I was probably around 23-24 weeks pregnant and not thinking about it used these suppositories for about 2 days. I was leaving for a weekend trip and just grabbed some out of my fridge not in the box. After 2 days of use, I got the bright idea of pulling up the drug facts on my phone and realized my mistake. I talked to my doctor when I first got back and she didn't seem overly concerned. She said to not take them again, she she would prescribe me something instead. And that as long as I didn't have any spotting, no cramping and contractions and that baby is moving normal, I would be ok. Not positive but I think the main concern is that the medicine can cause you to go into preterm labor. I would keep track of your body tonight, make sure you don't have any worrisome symptoms and call doc first thing in the morning to get peace of mind. Also, how far along are you?  The further you are, I'd feel the less concern there would be.

This is what I found on it.. 
Pregnancy Category C: In laboratory animals, topical steroids have been associated with an increase in the incidence of fetal abnormalities when gestating females have been exposed to rather low dosage levels. There are no adequate and well controlled studies in pregnant women. Hydrocortisone acetate suppositories should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefit justifies the risk to the fetus. Drugs of this class should not be used extensively on pregnant patients, in large amounts, or for prolonged periods of time.

I wouldn't stress out about it.. The stress will probably have worse effects than the medicine alone would do. Category C essentially means there is not enough testing in pregnant women to know if it is even a risk. Stay calm and talk to your doctor in the am. Baby will be fine
