Delayed gender reveal...how is anatomy scan done?

Just wondering...since the anatomy scan is usually an hour or so long, are they able to let us watch on the screen until they look for the gender? We want to wait until that evening for our small gender reveal party.

When we had the nuchal translucency screen at 12 weeks, they had a tv screen on the wall for us to watch while the tech worked.

My anatomy scan wasn't an hour it was way shorter but yea we just told the tech we were having a reveal party and she let us watch and when she did the privates of my little girl 😬😬😬 she printed them off next door and put it in an envelope

Yeah you just have to tell them before they start that you DONT want to know the gender, because you are doing a gender reveal. So if you ask them, what they will do is the normal anatomy scan that you can watch, and then when they are all done and ready to find out the gender, they will turn the screen away, find the gender, write it and put it in an envelope, and then you can give the envelope to whoever is planning your gender reveal.

Our anatomy scan was done at 18 weeks and 2 days. The first part of the scan was all of the measurements and that took about 20 minutes. Some people say it takes 45-60 minutes but that wasn't the case for us. Then she told us the gender at the end of the appointment. We already knew the gender but it was nice to have it confirmed. We could see the baby on the screen during the entire appointment too.
