Blood after sex 40+ weeks

TMI sorry but during sex last night (trying to get labor started lol) I thought I felt something pop and then afterward we realized there was a decent amount of blood. Of course I was very nervous and was researching. I stopped bleeding after 5 minutes. I read that I could have ruptured a blood vessel? Anyone else experience this?
