There is always a risk no matter how far along you are. I was induced at 39 weeks my baby was too high and wouldn't come down the birth canal, I was stuck at 6.5cm and after 10 hours of being on pitocin drops AND pill we opt in for a csection he just wasn't ready at all

I would say there is always a risk of a failed induction no matter how many weeks. I was induced at 40 weeks, dilated to 10 no problem but found out my son has a large head and I a narrow pelvis so it was a c-section for me! I also know women who go into labor naturally and progress naturally end up with c-sections. You definitely can't predict what's going to happen!
