High blood pressure ??

Question

How high is high enough to be concerning? I came to an express clinic just to check on an ear infection and the nurse told me it was a little high at 143/83. She didn't seem too concerned but hearing her say a little high made me nervous.

Depends on your history. I have bad white cost so mine is often 140/90 on the first reading when I'm stressed out, so my dr doesn't worry. I would mention it to your regular ob.

The hospital said they keep a close eye on you when it goes over 130 but get really worried when you hit 160 that is when pre eclampsia happens which is very bad. This happened to my sister in law and she ended up getting full eclampsia and had to have her baby early because she and him where going to die. Luckily they both survived.

My midwife always tell me if it is 140/90 or higher then test need to be done.

Mention it to your OB when you go. It's not horribly high, but I'd say something just to be on the safe side.
