First child: how soon did you get stretch marks?

I'm 21 weeks no stretch marks yet. I've been using Burts Bees Mamma belly butter.

When do they start appearing? 
What do you use?

I didn't get them until my last month or so of pregnancy. One day I woke up and BOOM they were there! They have cleared up ALOT since then I used bio oil.

Stretch marks are genetic. There isn't anything that can prevent them. My mom didn't get them and neither did I with my 1st. I'm 23 weeks and I am still free and clear.

The only thing my doctor has mentioned is to keep drinking water to help the elasticity of the skin.

You can't prevent them from coming but scratching your belly does make it worse so just keep moisturized to avoid itching.

I only have a couple on my hips and I'm 40 weeks and only got them this last week. I use Palmers stretch mark cream but it depends on your genetics drink lots of water and cream yourself daily that's the best you can do!
