Will an Ob/gyn prescribe anxiety meds?

I had an prescription
For Paxil before I was pregnant. My anxiety coupled with depression is at an all time high. Is this a medicine my Ob can prescribe ?

Ask about Buspirone. I have super high anxiety and that is what my dr gave me for my first pregnancy. It helped a little and it didn't affect my daughter at all. I'm going to be asking for it again this pregnancy.

Might sound strange but try taking a Benadryl when your anxiety is bad. I was on anti-anxiety, stopped when I found out I was pregnant. My psychiatrist and OB agreed that there isn't a "safe" anti anxiety med to take while pregnant. So now I take Benadryl if needed (which I haven't I've just worked through it) and melatonin for sleep.

I have really bad anxiety also I am trying to avoid meds during pregnancy. One thing that has helped me is Vicks vapor rub under my nose. Apparently it has rosemary and can naturally calm you. Of course it doesn't all Go away. Hopefully your OB will be able to help you 😊

Try B6 vitamins. There are meds you can take, but obviously don't recommend it. You can also look up different ways to help with depression/anxiety while pregnant. Exercise, beat foods, etc. B6 has been my lifesaver this pregnancy.
