First tattoo...pain??

Hello ladies!! 
I know this question gets asked a lot and it's specific to certain people, but I am getting my first tattoo this Saturday. I was wanting to know how painful it really is and if anyone could describe it in words.

you're gonna be nervous going in to your first one no matter what, but once they start, even if it's a little uncomfortable you won't have them stop, trust me lol. I have five now, all in places that were said to be painful, ribs, feet, down my spine, etc. the pain is different for everyone. I usually describe it as a pain I would go back for. It's not unbareable, and after your first you'll be craving another one months later. You'll do fine.

I have a tattoo on my spine and they say it's the worst place to get it but I literally giggled about the pain because of how much everybody exaggerated the pain. Don't get me wrong it does hurt but if you think it'll be the worst pain in the world it might help when you feel it's not THAT bad

Depends where it is! 
I have two. One on my right back shoulder and one on my wrist.

The shoulder was NOTHING.

My wrist wasn't TOO bad. Only when it for toward the middle where you see the veins.

From what I hear if you're getting it on your foot, abs, or hip then it hurts a lot.

But it's different for everyone.

My first tattoo was on my ribs. Some spots I didn't feel and other spots felt like a sharp scraping. Then my second tattoo I got on my outer forearm and again it only hurt it some spots. But everyone is different because my friend has had a few and she said none of hers hurt. They ask you if you want a break while they're tattooing you. I said no because I just wanted it over with. Good luck! They are so addicting I am already looking into my next tattoo

It just feels like bad scratch. Honestly, it's a little rough at first but when he says its done you wish he wasn't haha. You get used to it, and it's totally worth it!

Ask your artist to begin in an area close to where your tattoo will be, but using no ink.  This will let you have some idea of what you're in for, without the ink commitment.  Shading needles and line needles feel slightly different, but you'll be fine😜

I just got this one it's my first tattoo and it didn't hurt at all. It's basically like been stings but constantly lol. You'll feel pressure where ever you get it and it'll hurt for a min then you'll be happy. I was nervous too lol. But once he started I just watched him do it and I was calm

I would say that spots closer the the bone are a bit more painful. It's kind of scraping or scratching feeling but after a minute you get used to it.

It really shouldn't be bad if it's something small or simple but I will say if it's got a lot of detail or color it can get a bit tender because they have to go over the same spots repeatedly.
