Cramping /bleeding @ 6&1/2 weeks

Amie

Ugh! I have had bad cramping and moderate bleeding all day. Started with some spotting last night, but at the time it was more brownish so I really wasn't all that concerned. I've read a lot about spotting and even some cramping during the first trimester. Today, though, it got to be more of a regular red and was accompanied with mild to moderate cramping throughout the day. After work I got to the hospital and had lab work done. Of course when I got there and was waiting there were crying babies EVERYWHERE and I just started crying. They finally got my blood drawn. The Dr's office called a little while ago. My hcg levels are where they should be for 6&1/2 weeks. Go in for another u/s tomorrow right after work. I just wish I could skip the work part... It's not possible to "take it easy" when you're wearing long sleeves, thick gloves and a welding helmet in a non-climate controlled factory, surrounded by heat/electricity/flames when it's already in the 90s (not to mention the humidity or heavy lifting involved). Or the boss who looked at me like she didn't understand why I was telling her I was bleeding and when I asked about going to the nurse/Dr office (at work) she told me I could go on my own time, not company time. This is what I get to deal with tomorrow. I want to go back to my office job, the money increase isn't worth this! But I can't change jobs because I'm pregnant and have to be at the job for a full year to qualify for maternity leave.

I'm sorry. Rant over. Back to trying to figure out how I'm going to make it through this for the rest of my pregnancy and help make sure the BABY makes it!

Edit : oh, and yes, my boss knows fully well that I am pregnant and that it was why I was scared about the bleeding/cramping
