Ok. What the heck is going on?

Hi, I'm 38 weeks and 1 day with my second child. I was induced with my first, so excuse if this sounds dumb or ignorant on my part.

Yesterday I had bloody show for a good amount of time yesterday, about half the day. I had a sweep the morning of the day before. Was expecting it. But, this morning I lost my mucus plug, it was huge! I've had strong but painless (yet uncomfortable) contractions all day, about 15 minutes apart. Every time I wipe, there's more mucus, like a whole plug every time. I just had a bad bout of diarrhea...am I going into labor or wth is going on?

I literally had the exact same thing happen. Going on four days now. My doctor saw me yesterday and said it sounded like I was starting up labor but of course we have no idea when the regular contractions will kick in!

I'm in a similar situation right now. At my appt Wednesday, I was 70% effaced and 1 cm dilated. Doc said I should have this baby within a week or so. Today around 1:30, I lost part of my mucus plug and since then, every time I go to the bathroom, I seem to lose more of it. No blood, though, just snot-like mucus. Been having what I assume are contractions all day, but they aren't painful -- feels more like Braxton-Hicks than what real contractions should feel like, in my opinion. They were about 9 minutes apart when I was timing them this evening, but I stopped paying attention to them because they didn't seem to be getting stronger. Now I'm just waiting for another sign. Hoping my water will break to give me a clear sign that this is labor. I will be 39 weeks tomorrow.
