Heaven has gained another angel of mine Abigail Faith 👼🏽 was born 8/1/16. We both faught hard after I found out I had an incompetent cervix at 19w. Doctor said surgery was perfect and he felt confident I would make it full term so I did too 😟. I was on bedrest 1st week but could get up for showers/RR. I had bloody mucousy discharge after a bowl movement the first week so I went to hospital and they said I was irritated due to stitching. I was sent home on complete bedrest and pills to control and kept having same discharge with minor contractions (2-3/hour). After a couple of days my contractions kept getting worse and had heavier discharge. Decided to head to hospital once I seen discharge was nothing but blood (not mucousy anymore). I knew I was in labor once we got in the car the contractions hit every 3-5 min. I got to hospital and dr checked me and said I was fully dialated. She had to remove my cervix stitch 😪. Reason for going into labor was I had an infection in my amniotic fluid which they did not know about until i gave birth. Wondering if any of you ladies had an infection that caused you to go into labor and is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening in my next pregnancy? Dr said she is going to have many test done on me to prevent but I just want to hear stories from you guys. Thank you 🙏
