My positive natural birth story 😊
Okay so it's been a couple months since I had my baby girl (5/28/16) but I thought I'd share a positive birth story for any one who may be nervous 😊 okay so the day before my due date, my fiancé and I decided to go to the zoo to do some walking to try and get our daughter to arrive...after a ton of walking and being extremely hot and 9 months pregnant, we decided to leave and go to our spot next to the river on our land and make a fire to cook some hotdogs. While we were there we saw a couple butterflies flying around together and landing on us and we thought it was cool because our daughters theme is butterflies and they're suppose to represent a meaning of new life... at about 7pm I started feeling like I had little period cramps so we figured we'd wait it out to see what happened. After awhile they started getting worse and closer together so we took the hike back to our car and went home. By the time we got home my contractions were about 5 mins apart but they still didn't hurt bad enough to go to the hospital so I decided to wait and walk up and down my road until they were worse..at about midnight they started getting about 3 mins apart and a little more intense so we headed to the hospital. When I got there they checked me and I was only about 4cm dilated but it didn't take long to progress. By the time I thought I might possibly want the epidural at about 5:30am the nurse checked me and told me I was already 10cm and it was too late, from then on I was just ready to push!!! When I started pushing and the doctor told me she could see her head the first thing I said was "does she have hair?" Lol. After about a half hour of pushing at 6:20am on her due date my baby girl was here, no needle in my back, all natural which was my goal in the beginning. I was super proud of myself and so extremely happy that my daughter was finally here that I asked the doctor if it was a dream 😋 I just couldn't believe she was finally in my arms and giving birth was way easier than I thought it was going to be. I'm so happy I didn't get the epidural and I honestly loved and enjoyed the experience of giving birth !!!! and I just want you ladies to see that not everyone has a horrifying labor and delivery..I went in thinking the worst and it turned out to be an awesome experience 😊 positive vibes to you all and good luck!!Â
