OK so I've been type 1diabetic for 34 years. I'm now on an insulin pump. I used to take 86 units of humalog a day about now I'm at 136 units. Can you tell me what kind of insulin your on? Also where are you giving your shots (body part)? Depending on the insulin you might try giving a shot then eating 15 minutes later unless your sugar is below 100. I would suggest doing a blood test about 3-4 hours after you eat at night to see where your levels are at. Also are you taking a short acting and long acting Insulin? If so what is it called? I can try my hardest to help you but I'm not a Dr as I'm sure you know. I would love to help you. I know your babies health is very important.

I have pre-gestational diabetes, type 2 since 2012. This is my first pregnancy, on my 30th week now. I'm on insulin too, insulin detemir (Levemir) combined with Metformin. Is everything okay with you? What were you meaning to ask? Hope we can be of help.
