Do you flush poop from diapers ?

Question

The instructions on all disposable diapers say to remove the poop from the diaper and flush it. Massive amounts of baby poop are rotting in our landfills and this can spread disease.

I've got packages of disposable diapers from two different manufacturers here and neither includes any instructions about flushing the poop from the diapers before disposing of them.

I breastfeed. There is no way to flush that poop.

I don't know, but we are instructed to pick up dog poop from our yard and put in the trash. So there is poop in the trash already. ( Not sure, but I think it contaminates run off water if not picked up.)

How exactly are you supposed to flush nearly liquid baby poop? I would literally have to flush the diaper itself.....

I can honestly say I am unaware of this and have never read diaper changing instructions. I thought I was doing good by buying biodegradable free and clear diapers and I mainly use cloth except at night

Yeah but a diaper will take 250-500 years to degrade, poop isn't killing the environment disposable diapers are. Long after you your children and maybe even grandchildren are gone those diapers are still here. Just saying.

We will be using cloth, and yes will be flushing poop.  I've read that you're supposed to from multiple places.

We will use cloth diapers with flushable liners, so the poop will be flushed, and we won't be adding to the millions of disposable diapers piled in landfills.

Hahahaha I was unaware that I was supposed to flush the poop down the toilet. I guess I should read directions more often. I didn't think I needed to know the directions on diapers lol. Goes to show what I know lol. I was like it doesn't say that lol and then I read the package. Sure enough that's what it said.
