Breastfeeding...!!!!!???! Help. Me

Question

It's already hard for me and this little girl was just born last night
. It kinda hurts and I already have a bloody, scabby nipple. I'm not sure if she's latching right but she latched right away...she knows what she's doing😏 But I, however, do not. Lol. Any advice ladies? 
I'm gonna talk to the lactation specialist here at the hospital tomorrow and see about her latch.

Ask the lactation consultant at the hospital for a nipple shield, baby probably just isn't latching correctly and the shield helps baby better latch. I had to use one for a few weeks when my  LO was born and then he finally latched without it and no pain for momma!

The nipple part is slightly normal as far as its not used to this much action. However, it may be because she sucks onto the nipple. I'll try to explain better. Make sure her mouth is wide open when your nipple goes into her mouth. So she doesn't suck the nipple into her mouth, she simply closes her mouth around it. It can be tricky! Trust me, I'm pregnant with my third and the first few days are difficult. Stick with it!!! It's so worth it!!

After each feed squeeze a little milk out and rub it onto your nipples. Also allow them to air dry if you can! It'll help with healing. Virgin organic coconut oil is also great!!! 
I won't lie my first 4-6 weeks was a bit painful but it gets better!!! If it doesn't however, get bub checked for lip and tongue ties!

Shields should be last resort. Get help now, scabs mean the latch is off. It's better to get help now.

Ask a nurse for something you can put on sore nipples. I did, and was given a small tube of cream, and two packs of these round things that you put over your nipples. They were amazing.

It does hurt for a few days. Your nipples will be sore, and they take time to adjust to being suckled so much. It'll hurt when your milk comes in, too (in which case ice packs!). I wouldn't wait until tomorrow, as a nurse may be able to help tonight.

And I promise, it gets better. I'm 7 days postpartum now, and it no longer hurts at all. My nipples get sore sometimes, but nowhere near as bad as they did 1 day postpartum
