Does anybody work for CPS?

Hello ladies, this is not pregnancy related but would appreciate any input from anyone who works for or has worked for CPS (child protective services) in the past? I just completed my bachelor's degree in human services and have always been interested in working for CPS.. & would like to know what all it takes to get to where I want to be career wise. TIA :-)

It defiantly takes a special kind of person to work for CPS, but if you love your job than the crappy pay won't matter as much;)   They need more workers that can make a difference in the lives of the families they come in contact with.

Honestly you will be underpaid and overworked. You don't need a masters in social work but it will depend on your state. Here in Ga if you have your masters then you get more $ but it's still a very sad amount of money. I turned down a job wth them (I have my masters in social work and I'm licensed). My friend works for them and she is always having to work overtime and has massive case loads.
