Really confused

My period was supposed to start on the 9th... On Thursday I had pink spotting wasn't blood was just a real light spot whenever I wiped. Yesterday I noticed twice when I went it was brown, this morning brown again. I've never been late then spotted... I've spotted brown a few days before my period got heavy and heard it was "old blood" from last cycle. Is this implantation bleeding? Or no because I've already missed my period could it be like a break through bleeding? Or should I just accept that it's my period slowly but surely making its way.
