SO Frustrating!

My ex & i dated last year & when he was trying to break up w me he kept starting a convo & never respond. We were a thing again from Feb-June as he stopped flirting w me once i asked where we stood & he said idk. I thought we were friends then as we still talked alot & even ft for 2 hours from 2am -4am just 2 weeks ago. But all of a sudden hes acting like as if hes trying to break up w me again even tho we arnt dating. Any idea why hes acting like this???
