Need some advice... period for 1 day...

Ok, I started my period yesterday, bled pretty heavy and had some cramps. When I woke up today... there is barely anything. I'm talking with a pad, blood isn't even touching it. No cramps either. This has never happened so I washed by hands and checked my cervix to see where it's at. It is low and feels pretty open, but all that comes out is a little brown/pink discharge. Has anyone had this happen? What could cause this? I know we are not doctor's on this app, but it's Saturday, so I can't ask them. Thanks ladies!
