Breastfeeding question

FTM question .... I have a 2 week old son, he gained back his birth weight within 2 days of leaving hospital, then gained another pound the week after. Should I be waking him to feed? He's making enough wet and dirty diapers, but feel like in this heat(high 80s, lower 90s with heat indexes in the 100-110 area) , even with our room AC, is making him sleep more, therefore isn't eating as often. Should I be worried? Should I be waking him? What's the bare minimum number of times he should eat in a day? 8? Thank you!
