Unpaid Maternity Leave??? How am I going to survive?!?!

Not getting short term disability because my temp position decided not to hire me on full time because of a hiring freeze. How can I get some sort of financial help? I still have bills to pay and take care of my kids! 😧 Father of child walked out when they saw Down syndrome markers of my son. Any ideas???

At the beginning of your pregnancy were you told you you were going to get paid leave if so that's really messed up.... but I remember when I first got pregnant and first started working I was pregnant first so when I got my job the first thing I did was go to HR to see what their policies were and I don't get paid leave either so for the last nine months everything has went into the bank so the only thing I can tell you with being single is go to your child services department and see what you can qualify for

Join the club. Start saving now I guess. I'm not getting paid either. Check maybe with local churches and see if they can help with bills. Or saint Vincent de Paul

I feel your pain. I have a short term disability plan that I have paid for monthly for years but they will only cover a max of 12 weeks, so bc I had to go on bedrest at around 31 weeks I am going to be short after baby is born. All I can say is save up as much as possible, try to pay some bills in advance. Sometimes if you call certain companies and explain your situation they will allow you to miss a payment if you have a good credit or payment history for like a car or mortgage loan (a friend of mine had luck just calling and explaining her situation). I don't get anything for time that I will need to be off after having this baby. You can apply for assistance, or there is something call maternity loans
